Italy
It was the end of September 2014, I began one of the busiest and most exciting stages of my life. This is the Erasmus course I took at the University of Calabria in southern Italy. During the 10 months that I was living there, I tried to know the culture of the place, the language and above all to visit the Italian geography, very extensive and full of fabulous places.
Despite being late September / early October, we were able to enjoy several days of sun and beach. The first impression of the Calabrian beaches was incredible. Transparent waters with blue tones. A clear example of this is Tropea, a small village little tourist but with much charm.

Beginning of November, I set out on a journey to the city of Naples and its surroundings. I visited the island of Capri and the historic city of Pompeii. I could not miss the visit to Naples without tasting the best pizza in the world at the Pizzeria Da Michele.

Mid November I decide to travel to the north of Italy, to the city of Milan, in the region of Lombardy. Without a doubt the most impressive part of the city is the Duomo di Milano, one of the largest in the world.

I also had the opportunity to see a derby in the historioc stadium of San Siro. The result was a draw AC Milan 1-1 Inter.

Two weeks later, end of November, I visited one of the most delightful areas of Italy, Tuscany. I made a trip through Pisa, Florence, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano and Siena. It can be said that Florence is one of the cities I like the most in Italy.

Already in February, despite being in the south of Italy, we could see the snow in the Sila National Park. Specifically the locality of Camigliatello Silano is situated at 1270 meters of altitude, where they also have a small ski station.

The small village of Rende was where the university was located. This village, with only 35400 inhabitants, is situated in a valley in the province of Cosenza. I leave some pictures of the little village and the university.

End of April, the good weather is back, and with it the days of sun and beach. Here trying to take a good picture of the beach of San Nicola Arcella.

Briatico is another of the municipalities to highlight on Calabria.

And if we prefer to stay at home, what a better way to refresh ourselves than to buy a pool for the garden..

In May we set course for the heel of the boot of the Italian peninsula, Puglia. Sun and crystalline waters.

Already in June I visited one of the areas I liked the most in Italy, the Amalfi coast. It is a stretch of coastline on the northern coast of the Salerno Gulf on the Tyrrhenian Sea, located in the Province of Salerno of southern Italy.

At the end of June, I visited The Aeolian Islands, they are a volcanic archipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea north of Sicily. There are two active volcanoes – Stromboli and Vulcano. The volcanic activity of steaming fumaroles and thermal waters are on most of the islands.

My adventure was over, in July I had to return but not without first visiting the capital, Rome. The city is full of history, but although technically it is not Italy, what impressed me most was the Vatican.

And this is a brief summary of the places visited in Italy during those 10 months. And the most important thing is the people with whom these trips are shared, who make each one of them unique.
