USA
Flight Oslo – Los Angeles. From LA to Williams (Arizona), 750km through the mythical Route 66. Williams – Grand Canyon. 450km road from Grand Canyon to Las Vegas. Flight Las Vegas – San Francisco. Flight back to Oslo.
That’s a summary of the itinerary we did on this 10-week trip across the U.S.
First stop Los Angeles, very brief and very tired due to jet lag. But at least we could walk the typical Santa Monica Pier and observe the city from the
Griffith Observatory.

The next day we started Route 66 (a small stage of the hundreds of miles that form it). We enjoy the typical road bars, the endless trains and the desert landscape.

After the night in Williams, in a typical road motel, we set course for the Grand Canyon. Undoubtedly the most spectacular, exceeded all our expectations.

After the canyon we took the road to Las Vegas. The first impression is shocking, immense and ostentatious casinos in the middle of the desert.

We couldn’t leave the U.S. without driving the genuine American Mustang. A very fun ride to the Mount Charleston.

It was time to leave Las Vegas and fly to San Francisco. We liked San Francisco very much, it has some very good live music bars, the historic Alcatraz island, the Bay Area, the Golden Gate or the famous cable car are some of the things we visited.

It was my first time in the American continent and the truth is that it surprised me for good. Looking forward to come back again but especially to visit natural parks instead of cities.
