Bavaria and Tyrol

From the BMW museums in Munich to the Tyrol in the Alps. That would be the summary of this little weekend getaway. In the end we did about 1000 km in a comfortable Audi A6 50 TDI quattro.

Trip

We start the day at the BMW Welt, a combined exhibition, delivery, adventure, museum and event venue, located next to the Olympic Park in the immediate vicinity of the BMW factory in Munich‘s district Am Riesenfeld.

Next to the Welt is the BMW Museum, in which we could see the most characteristic models of BMW, as well as its history.

Then we went to the BMW classics, a place that was an old BMW factory where they hide a wonderful private collection of classic BMWs from different times, as well as a specialized workshop.

Its time to leave the city of Munich and go to Innsbruck. We quickly headed south on the autobahn to reach a small hotel in the Tyrolean mountains.

After a couple of days in the mountains, also visiting the Krimml Falls and the city of Salzburg, this is what I caught with the drone.

The last day we went to the Walhalla, a curious place in the middle of the forest. The Walhalla is a hall of fame that honours laudable and distinguished people in German history. The hall is a neo-classical building above the Danube River, in Donaustauf, east of Regensburg in Bavaria.
