Ducati Monster

I’ve always been passionate about 2 wheels. I started with an enduro motorbike and although I like it, enduro for moto is something that is very limited in Norway. So seeing that the summer of 2018 was quite dry and hot, I decided to buy a road motorbike for 2019.

At first, in the second-hand market in Oslo I didn’t see anything that really caught my attention, I checked the ads daily and even had alerts for when a new add was posted. One day I suddenly saw an add for a bike that I really liked, it wasn’t far from home either, so I called him immediately and arranged a visit. It was a Ducati Monster Dark 750cc from 2003. After check the bike and negotiating a little the price I decide to keep it.

I bought it in April, used it to go to work every day if the weather wasn’t too bad. Of course you go to work much happier than by bus. 🙂

It was always a good time to take a little ride, even if it was around Oslo.

Although it wasn’t a very good summer, it rained a lot, I couldn’t miss the Norwegian roads and landscapes, I did several trips, both alone and accompanied by my girlfriend.

The end of the summer was approaching and with it the moment to sell the bike. But I didn’t want to sell it without first driving along the famous Trollstigen road and continuing along the Geiranger fjord. I had to postpone the trip 2 times due to bad weather, but taking advantage of a couple of sunny days, I did the trip, with only 1 night out, which meant more than 15h on the bike in 2 days. It was hard especially the last hours but it was worth it. I recorded parts of the trip with the GoPro, which can be seen in the following video:

Finally, as I had planned, I sold the bike after that trip.

Although I’m already thinking about the next motorbike…
