Lofoten
Lofoten is one of my favorite places in Norway, having already been in May 2017, I wanted to come back because the first time the weather was not good. In addition, in September there was the possibility to see the northern lights.
From my point of view, the best option to visit the islands is to fly to Harstad/Evenes airport and rent a car there. This time, I also took the tent with me, as there is free camping in almost every place.
Here’s the itinerary I planned to visit Lofoten, although once you’re there it can always change.
Fortunately, except for the first and last days, the rest of the days were sunny, with a pleasant temperature during the day, although cold at night.
One of the most famous and typical villages of Lofoten is Reine. It is nice to see the village from “the ground” but the best thing is to do the Reinebringen hiking to enjoy a spectacular aerial view of Reine with the mountains behind.
One of the nights we camped in the beach of Haukland, where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset.
Another of the hikes we did, was to climb to the top Ryten, from which you can see the beach of Kvalvika.
To top off a fantastic trip, one of the nights had all the necessary conditions to be able to see the northern lights.
And of course, I could not miss the place to make some aerial video with my drone, here the result.
