KTM EXC 450-R

In this blog I have already presented one of the motorbikes I have had, the Ducati Monster. But as I said in that post, although I like motorbikes in general, I prefer mud rather than asphalt. That’s why I couldn’t miss the opportunity when a good friend was selling this unit of KTM EXC 450-R year 2008, a bike model that I have liked since I was a child and I knew that one day I would have one.

The first sensations with this bike are spectacular, the power it delivers from low revolutions is amazing. Where I enjoyed it most was in the Sierra de la Demanda (Burgos), where you can find endless tracks, firebreaks and other open areas, where this bike feels like “a fish in the water”.

Another thing I like most about going out with the enduro bike is sharing time with other friends, either with other bikes or with a 4×4.

Facing the summer and the good weather, when the trails are dry and the mud turns into clouds of dust, I got some asphalt wheels, and the truth is that the sensations surprised me for good. The riding position is very different from that of a conventional road bike, which makes it very fast in tight corners, maintaining a good response in acceleration. Where it works worse is at high speeds or under heavy braking.

In short, a very fun and reliable bike that will give you good times both on asphalt and off road.
